KEYNOTE Speaker

 

Dr. Lorretta M. Holloway

Dr. Lorretta M. Holloway is the Vice President of Enrollment and Student Development at Framingham State University in Massachusetts. She has a B.A. from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, a M.A. from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and a Ph.D. in literature from the University of Kansas. For sixteen years, she taught undergraduate, graduate, and high school students (in FSU’s College Tomorrow program).  Her K-16 work includes creating and teaching a professional development course on teaching gifted and advanced learners K-8, working on the ELA Curriculum Frameworks review team for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and serving as a consultant for the federal Department of Education’s Office of Vocational and Adult Basic Education (now the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education). She developed Framingham State’s College Readiness for Parents annual program now in its 11th year. Her current research focus is in international comparisons of college readiness and university emergency preparedness.
