Executive board Election:

President-Elect (3 Year Term, President-Elect, President, Past-President): A person with a strong knowledge and understanding of NEACUHO's history and operations who has been involved in the organization. Candidates should be Residence Life professionals with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience. 

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Officer (2 Year Term): A person with a strong commitment and experiences promoting DEIB within NEACUHO, or another organization. The DEIB officer must have experiences evaluating operations and programming through a DEIB lens, plus advocating for recommendations and improvements. 

District Coordinators (2 Year Term)*Nominees must be at a member institution within the district below. DCs should be strong communicators, record-keepers, and have keen interest in networking with other professionals.

Election Timeline:

  • April 11- Nominations for E-Board Open
  • April 16 at Noon- Elected Board Information Session (optional); Recording can be found here (password: 5dwjK%q!)
  • April 25- Nominations Close (12pm)
  • April 29- Candidate Min. Qualification Due (12pm)
  • May 1- Candidates Notified of Min. Qualifications
  • April 12-May 2- Required Candidate Meetings with Past President (scheduled as nominations come in)
  • May 6- Candidate Materials Due at Noon
  • May 7-May 14- Elections (May 7th at 12:00pm until May 14 at 5:00pm)
  • May 15-May 17- Run Offs
  • Candidate Acceptances Due- May 17
  • Announcement to Members- May 20

Duties of Elected Officers:


  • Responsible for the overall management of the organization.
  • Attend the annual conference and all Executive Board meetings, as well as Elected Officer meetings called at the discretion of the President for the general administration of conducting business and activities.
  • Adhere to established NEACUHO guidelines for processes which include but are not limited to, Committee chair appointments, financial transactions, and publications guidelines.
  • Assist in the ongoing efforts of member recruitment.
  • As a professional in a volunteer organization, if personal circumstances or professional duties begin to hinder the ability to perform the duties listed, it is expected that a resignation letter be forwarded to the President; or in the case of the President, to the immediate Past-President.
