This session will reframe that mindset and explore the value of vendor relationships beyond transactions. Participants will discuss the key roles corporate vendors play in advancing the work of residence life and housing, identify the professional and departmental benefits of engaging with vendors regardless of role, and gain two concrete strategies for making the most of engagement opportunities during conferences and when returning to campus. Together, we’ll consider how building authentic, mutually beneficial relationships with exhibitors can expand resources, create partnerships, and strengthen our collective impact on students, regardless of positional title.
